Dance class have been awesome, Quent is a great leader, which helps me with the dancing. Can't wait to show it off =p

It's 32 days to our weddiing!!! Far out! Time passes so quickly!

We're in the midst of sorting out RSVPs and still sending out invites =( Sorry guys! Esp. Cheryl and Steph in KL, sorry it took so long....blame it on M'sia Post system!Lol

Tonight, we went for out 1st wedding dance class with Nicole and Vernis, it's soooo "Wah-lau" cos we have to learn heaps! It's really fun, and i'm sure you'll enjoy it ;) but Quentin is quite stress with the steps =) Although, he doesn't give himself enough credit, he's actually a really good dancer =) Next 3 lesson, all our Bridal party, who are in Melb, will join us for dance class! Heheheh...it's going to be fun!

Okay, many have asked if they are invited to our wedding, because they have not received their invites and so forth...well, fear not, it's on the way! For the last three weeks we've been working really hard to get it out...and now it is finally here! Hopefully by this weekend we'll hand most of them out >.<

Hair & Makeup & Grooms men

Last Saturday, after attending Jack and Esther's wedding (which was really sweet, small and sweet), the boys and Jerusha had a 4 hour soccer game, while Linda came over to do a trail on makeup and hair for my wedding.

Linda is Vic's girlfriend, and Vic is NQA soccer captain. So we girls worked around the boys schedule and had wedding stuff done =) Such sacrifice =p Lol!!! Linda graduated with makeup and hair qualification, and she grew up with a mum who is a hairdresser, she is a hot Viet chic and a really nice one too!!! Even my childhood friend, Chai Ling felt so comfortable around her, when she flew in from Tasmania to get a hair cut last year =)

Anyway, we started off the trails with the hair first, but then we ended up doing 2 different hairstyles, and now stuck with 2 great choice, and we can't decide!!!!!Boo!
Then, we went on and do makeup...it's so cool, and i'm really happy with it. It's so cool to be well taken care of and looking awesome! =D

I'm get to have beautiful orchids on my hair...summery...

For those who are still waiting on our invite, i apologize...it's definitely on the way. There's another couple who is getting married the day after Quentin and myself, and they already got their invites out 2 weeks ago...and it stresses me out! But hopefully it will be ready in 1 and a half weeks time. =)

Then on Sunday, we got the boys their suits...it's was so fast, as it was so well fitted on them, that there were no fuss over it! Well, the time was so short as compared to the last time when we got Quent's and Nick's which was ages!!!!!! The mens looked so hot, they will look awesome on the 15th December!!!

Talking about wedding date, i can't believe it's 77 days before i walk down the aisle towards Quentin!!!! We both can't wait for it =)

Okay so...there's lots of things that have happened since last post. There was National Kids Leaders Conference, which was absolutely brilliant; then spent time with Janice, and discussing lots of wedding stuff (sorry hun, to bore you with all those wedding things =< ); there's the confirmation of our honeymoon tickets; there's Quent fell sick; Nick, my ex-son's hospital incident; getting killed in Scrabble on facebook and etc...wow! didn't really noticed how much things have happened in 2 weeks! Time flies too fast (",)

At the moment, me and Sayang is doing our wedding invites (finally) along with Ewnice, and some advise from Serene! Hehehe... is quite a pain, cause is so hard to decide... here's a small taste of what we're doing =) *most files i can't post up..this is the best i could get up

Weekend's Dance-offs

Cannot believe Youth Alive 07' came so quickly! Well, Friday night was a long night, as we waited around for beatbouncrs, headed up by Serene, Vernis and Ruth, to finish practice at about 12:45am. We prayed for them and headed home for supper. Audrey and Vernis helped Josh looked for his outfit =( So last minute
Next day was an early start, then took the train down to the famouse Rod Laver Arena to watch beatbouncrs's dance. They were the 3rd dance item, and they were superb. Of course the beatbouncrs fan club was extremely loud too, with front row seats, and having loud voices like Kimmy's and Yvonne's. It's the first time Audrey and Josh dancing, what more, that they are dancing in such a BIG event. So proud of them. If you watch the video, you'll notice Audrey is on the front, because she has such cheesy look, it's pretty chessy, but really good show. Then, i never knew Josh can dance so well!!!! The girls were just dumb-founded as they watch him! =p So did i! He had a solo part, and he did it so well. If he didn't fall last weekend, he would have had a cool fliping part too :)

4 Great Months till countdown

Can't believe it! It's only 4 more months to go till i become Mrs Loke! =p Don't worry, it's all good, i'm getting use to that title, Amanda has been preparing me for the title for ages now.

Well, we still have lots to do for the wedding, but Sayang said he has it all under control, so i should trust him. Cause for an OCD like me, i get stress too easily ('_')" I need to learn to relax, but there's only one day in our whole life that is our wedding, i really want the day to be special, and not half hazard! I was having nightmares that on our wedding day, it went pass so fast, but it was so horrible, because i didn't spend enough time planning for it, things get lost, and running late, and my make up was all screwed up from my horrible crying!!! Lol, don't worry, i told you i have slight O.C.D., i'm just too paranoid! Apparently, i'm not the only one, my friend in Perth is also going through the same thing! She is getting married in October, so i feel quite normal =D

Too Many Things...

Well after the dress, it was all preparation to Brisbane on Friday. Brisbane's weather was awesome!!! Not too cold and not humid at all. It's such an ideal weather! Okay enough of the weather, i was flown there to minister to the children and their leaders, and i did just that. My first mission was to show the leaders how you can turn one classroom like room, into a room that is inviting and fun in a short time. It looks awesome, especially my awesome balloon towers! Anyway, the next two days were spent ministering to the kids, sat in a relationship pannel (don't ask, is too funny to even mention it), networking with the people/leaders in ICC (International City Church), and leadership training. It was so good that i totally lost my voice! =) It didn't get any much better when Ps Jeanie & Ps. David Mok cooked us curry on the last night. But the couple is awesome, i really admire Ps. Jeanie, she is a real superwoman! The team is very very very hospitable, and therefore, Chris, myself, Stan and Tim were very well taken care of. We were so shacked at the end of each day, except Stan of course, who can't wait but to go rendexvous around Brisbane. ('_' ") It was an awesome experience.

After that awesome yet tiring weeknd, 8 of us took a trip to the snow in Lake Mountain. It's was a well deserved holiday that i had been waiting for. Didn't do much there, except play some card games, watch TV, Wii match, cook a few light meals, and did some wedding planning. We also went cross country skiing after Vernis's much persuasion =p, it's a great excersice, but it's really really cold (colder than 2 years ago!), and while we were skiing, there were rain, hail, and snow. Too much fun!!!

I officially got my dress today!!! Yeah!!! =)

I'm so excited after picking up my dress and all my 8 bridesmaid's dresses, and Rach's flower girl dress today. Who wouldn't =p

Now, mum and Nicole is endeavouring to create more 'personal' touches to the dresses! =) Hehehe...they are the best!

Well...i can't exactly tell you about my dress, cos Quent can't know about it, he won't see it till our Wedding Day, which is about 4 1/2 months away! =p Just help me make sure that Quent turns up in the right church! Lol!

Last Week's Goodness

Well, i see some of you are getting impatient that i've not blogged in yonkers!!! Lol, good to feel i'm wanted! =D

Last Wednesday to Friday (was actually Saturday), we had the greatest youth camp in History!!! Avalanche Camp, start small-end big. It's part fun, and part painful. Fun part is of course hanging out with the best group of people, challenging each other on for the cause of Christ, mucking around and developing greater friendships. The painful part was to wait and then later see Sayang shaved off his hair, along with William, as they lost their fundraising effort to 101 (our sneaky Uni group), by $4000 + . It's ridiculous, how badly people wanted Sayang shave =( Well, it's over now, and Sayang still looks so hot!!! Sizzling... I won't go in detail about this, as i'm sure many "Fungus-ers" would have wrote about camp =) Quentin and the team aka Chara, Becky, Vernis etc have done such great job in coordinating the biggest youth camp in FGAM. Well done love!

Then, Nicole and i drove back to cold Melbourne after lunch on Friday. After a one hour drive on the road, i could hardly keep my eyes open (it's all the crying before that caused me to be so tired), so Nicole took the wheel the rest of the way to Melbourne. Then, we quickly grab dinner and headed off to SPIN meeting and set up for the next day. Nicole was a great help, ferrying things for me, and helping me with all the set up of elective rooms and food.

SPIN conference, is a conference only for kids Grade 3-6, and is a vision of Ps. Andrew Shepherd to empower and equip kids for God's kingdom. We believe that what we can do at the age of 18, preaching, song leading etc, the kids in this generation, can also do it at the age of 10 years old. So the whole conference, there were practical elective sessions, when children learn from respected children workers around Victoria, to turn their world upside down for Christ. Electives such as how to boost your devotional life, how to pray for your friends, what's like being a youth pastor, how to preach, how to use drawing/clowning/ballooning to reach out to friends, and they even learn from the great Billy how to use media/computer/videos to turn their own church around. It's such a great vision, and it's such an honour that FGAM elders have a heart for kids, that they have allowed me to be part of the core team in planning for this conference. It was definitely a God's conference for kids! Last Monday, we only had 120 kids signed up, but the core team feels that God has promised 500 kids, so we continue to pray and fast. By Friday night, we have 430 kids signed up, on Saturday, when Lilian did the final count in registration, we have exactly 500 kids!!! God is just so awesome!!

On Saturday, i got out of bed by 6:15am, and was at Crossway Baptist by 6:50am. Lay out breakfast for the 30 helpers and leaders, and then started with the team to prepare morning tea for the 500 kids. The day went by quickly, and the 500 Mc Donald meals disappeared quickly at lunch time. Before we knew it, the whole day has past, and poor old Jamie Ooi crawled back to her home and crashed into her bed =) Seriously, i couldn't have done my job well, if it weren't for these people who have helped me greatly throughout the day. So BIG thanks to Jamie, Nicole, Un. Min Leong, An. Melinda, Oli Ek, Oli Lim, Jono, An. Meng, Un.Keng and Mummy. You people are just GREAT beyond words!!! Nicole wasn't there on SATURDAY, but she helped me out in ensuring that i get what i needed to run Sunday School the next day, so it's all her great big heart that i could do both =)

Well, this week, i'm just getting busy preparing for my trip to ICC, Brisbane, where i'll be speaking at their mini kids conference, training their leaders and speaking in Sunday School. It's definitely nerve racking, as it is my first time, but i'm quite excited. It's definitely a mix feeling. Not forgetting, people around me are crazy about facebook atm, so i've been busy receiving and giving pokes and drinks and hugs! =) So fun.

It's now 6 more months to go before our BIG day!!! So exciting!!! =D

At the moment, we're discussing our honeymoon, and it's pretty fun, the whole planning of it (still deciding, but will keep you posted about it later). But, I have to prepare myself mentally for all those plane rides tho =( Hehehe...will put honeymoon on hold, till Sayang gets back from Sdyney.

Can't help...but i am so moved that i need to blog this down!

11am, time to leave DGPS after teaching CRE to 80 kids, and playing Rich List with them, today, we learnt about standing up for the truth, just as Elijah did, when he went back to see King Ahab. It was really good as the kids could retell last week's story in detail! Bravo to the kids!

Well, i'm ready to go off and get tiles for the office's kitchen, then when i'm just about to step out of the school grounds, a boy yelled out "Hello." I stopped on my tracks, and i turn and say "hi there." Immediately, his face fell, and i sense some dissapointment in him. I was going to walk away, then i felt a small voice saying "turn around", so i did stop dead on my track again, and turn around, walk towards the boy. I said to him, "did you think i was someone else?" He nodded "I thought it was mum." I smiled, and turn around, again it didn't feel right, once again i turned, kneel down, and gave him a high five and some misses. We excahnged some smiles.

"My name is Sonja, i teach the Grade 5 & 6 CRE" i said, and he replied "I'm Troy, and i'm in prep." To kick off the conversation, i ask him, "Have you taken your recess?" He said, "Yeah, dad packed me a juice." Cool, is freezing cold, and his dad packed this skinny kid a juice? Hmmm..."So, did mum packed you lunch?" I questioned. "No, she didn't, she doesn't stay with us anymore, and today she had to stay home to take care of my brother who is sick." I tried looking at the kids around the field, through the thick fog still hovering low, while trying to absord what Troy shared.

Well, at this point, my heart is already pouring with pain for this kid, i sat myself down on the grass and talk to him. I found out that his parents have spilt, and his mum is living with his brother (one year older) in their old house. He then told me how he is so sick of moving houses, because they have moved houses so many time, that he is so tired. 10 times he counted. Then later on in our conversation, he said he just had his tonsils taken out, and he open his mouth to show me, i nodded and made some approving sound, without really knowing what to look for ;p He then said, how when he had his tonsils taken out, he was too shy to come back to school, because he kinda forgot some stuff being away from school for so long. Well, in the next 5 minutes, he told about how he misses his old shoes, old house; what happened at the hospital; how he does not like stairs as they make him tired from climbing; how his brother have 6 toes on one foot when he was a kid, and had to be taken out, and was in lots of pain; how his dad pretended to be a doctor once; and how his dad have a dad too etc.... he was quite down about his brother and mother, and the poor boy is only 6 years old!

After a long chat, suddenly he turned to me, "Can i go now and play" he looked at me to seek for approval. "Of course", i said to him, "I'll be here every Friday at recess, so you can come see me here ok?" He smiled and said "Ok" We exchanged some 5's and he skipped off to his play.

My heart aches and cries for this boy as i was driving to Tile Mart, I suddenly seem to feel how his 6 year old heart would feel with all the things that are happening in his home. =( Lord, please help Troy to find comfort in you, and You, O Lord who is Mighty to Save, who can move mountains, and walk on water, please save Troy and his family, so that they will come to know you, and unite them together.

I cracked my laptop screen!!!

So embarrassing!!! I wasn't going mention about this...about to crawl into a hole and hide...but since Chris and Quent is going to be laughing about it, and talking about it in sermons, i might as well tell =(

Yes...Yes... i cracked my laptop screen...so can't be replace! Well, i had a rough morning, but it was a great 5 mins start...then after just went down hill... So after, i quickly pack up my laptop, as Sayang was about to pick me up for work, then i close my laptop screen. 'Clack' i heard, then i was thinking to myself...where did my wireless thumb drive went? Oh, well, couldn't be bothered, thought it was a bad morning, so things ought to go missing on me. Got to work, turn on my laptop, and realize that the only two things i could see on screen was 2 big black circles each with cracks on it. Errgghhh... I cracked my screen...and there lying on my keyboard was my silly wireless thumb drive! Frustrating!

Well... Chris and Tim is in search for a new laptop for me, and it's coming out of Chris's pastor's maintenance budget. I think i'm the only one who have used it this year...and the only one in history that have cracked their laptop screen. Quent and Tim, reckons it has to do with technology and girls...they just don't gel well together =( Have to get used to using the new vista next week. =(

I guess even as a pastor, we can have a rough morning too!!! We are still so human. Not exactly my kind of day.

Almost there!!!

Awww.... who could imagine how fun it is to make and design your own wedding gown, rather that buying off the rack or even hiring! It truly is a great experience. I'm loving it.

Today, i went to look at my almost finish wedding gown with mum, and i'm so happy. It's so great to see the almost finish gown, coming really close to what you have envision for, about 90% what i wanted it to be. Well, the other 10% is something i wanted on my back, but could not have (can't tell you what it is yet, quent reads the blog, and he can't find out until wedding day), and also need to get a can-can to go under it, for a fuller skirt (which i need to get soon).

I'm so happy...but not being too big-headed about it, i think i will look gorgeous in my dress =p hehehehe.. like a princess!

Picking up my final product of the dress, along with the bridesmaids dresses and flower girl dress on the 28th of June!!! Yeah!!! So exciting!

It’s been a week since my last post. Man, it’s so hard to keep up a blog!! Hehehe

Well, the most exciting day of my past week, would be Wednesday. Started off the day early with teaching RE in Balwyn North Primary School (which I thoroughly enjoy), and then crazily looking for car park in the city with Sayang. You see, we were given this voucher for lifestyle portraits, so we went and took some outdoor pictures with the photographers. It was surely fun, awkward in the start, and having people starring at you, was nervous too, but apparently the photographer and his assistant reckon we were so natural =p Well, we are going in to the studio to view our pictures on Wednesday, I can’t wait!!

After that, we headed down to Melbourne Uni to meet up with Yvette for catch up, and later with Joanne and her boyfriend. Yvette took us to this place, where Chara was working (not on the day tho ={ ), to get some sushi, and then we went and get a seat in the crowded Union house. Quent felt really old among the students, but I was not feeling that awkward, as I am not too much older than they are, as compared to Quent =p It was great fun, especially when we have to run to our car, second time that day, before our car parking meter expires. It was plain crazy!

We had time to kill before our next appointment, so we went shopping on Bridge Rd, well, is fair to say that, I went shopping on Bridge Rd, cause Quent was there, but not really, cause he wasn’t feeling too good, plus it’s shopping time. He says it drains his energy! Hmm… well, got some really good buys, and tried on some evening wears, and came really close to buying my DREAM umbrella, its transparent! Sayang wouldn’t mind I bought it, he even encouraged me to get it (cause I’ve been telling him all about this umbrella, since we first met), as long as he doesn’t need to be under it, cause he reckons it is plain “sissy” to carry a transparent umbrella! Okay, so I didn’t get it, because what’s the point of buying an umbrella, if no one is going to share it with you right? Rather walk in the rain! *mouth pouting*

We then headed down to South Melbourne for our appointment with the florist, for our wedding. There we met up with Nicole and Tim and headed in to see the wedding co-ordinator, who is in charge of flowers for wedding. “In Full Bloom” is recommended by Emma, but the price range was quite high. Let’s just say, the cost of all the flowers for the whole Bridal party and the families are costing as much as my wedding gown, how ridiculous is that. These people are just vultures out there to get people who are in love! So mean! Anyways, we found out that Orchids are also seasonal flowers during December period, so I’m still contemplating between orchids and roses. I say “I am” because Quent can’t even tell the difference with Daffodils and Orchids *sign* Boys! Well, anyways, we are waiting for Nicole, our wedding planner, to book us into more florist =D We then headed next door for some yummy Nando’s peri-peri chips, and then took a gelati stop before our next destination. I have Tim company, so I could have my long awaited durian gelati. The last time, I was with Nicole, Vernis and Sayang, and none of them likes durian, or even the smell of it, so I had to for go the temptation of the lovely gelati, but this time, with Tim around, I found company to enjoy the yummy flavoured gelati. Yummm…

Nicole and Tim went off, while Sayang brought me to watch Varekai, from Cirque du Soleil. It’s a very arty form of circus, very high class performance, which Serene is dying to watch, but I fell asleep! Hehehe… don’t get me wrong, I think with their gibberish language and unfamiliar story line, they were awesome, is just that I was lost in their gibberish language and songs! Well, let's just say, i don't think i'm a person who seeks out novelty, or am i person who do not like structure and rules,what more is that i'm not a free flow person when it comes to relationship! Lol. I'm exactly opposite to all those, i', not very sentimental, i love routine and structure, and that refers to my relationships as well. Lol, i don't think i'm that free flowing! But, it is true that i'm a inspiration seeker, and small changes now and then is always good on my health =D

It's been awhile, i know =D hard to keep up!!

Well..okay, what has been happening over here? Hmm... where to start ;p

Firstly, Blessed Mother's Day to my mummy!!!! Love you! And thank you to all my kids who wish me and those for the presents...you guys make me so proud and blessed! I'm a proud Ma Ma today =D

Lets go backwards:

Had Kung Fu rally and REV 07' on the first weekend of May. Well, the point is not to talk about REV, excepts that it can be challenging working with certain type of people =D Kung Fu Rally was awesome, Quentin did a fantastic job! He is so detailed, a great event director and manager. So proud of him, but he definitely work really hard on the rally.

Last Monday, Yvette and i went to the dress maker to get my calico fitting for my gown, so good to have an expert in fashion to be there, thanks Yvette!! Well, it's quite an experience, discussing and brainstorming on how the shape should look like, where the zip should be, how the little sleeves will look etc. I'm so excited, will be expecting my gown earlier than i thought i would; which in some way i'm quite happy about. So, am thinking now how should i want my veil look like... Oh, and am hunting down my evening wear =)

Well, i know you havent been hearing much about our wedding, and this is probably the first for a long time, that's because we have been busy, and have put all wedding plans on a pause.

My good friend Krystine is getting married soon too...so excited for her. She's having a small wedding, which i think it's so cool. She get to have it in a garden:( Jealous! She is a great pal.

Well... i'll keep you posted more soon okay. Mum is coming home soon! Yeah!

Moving On

It looks like I'm getting lots of people reading my blog lately...Hmmm... people are getting too free...*wink* to Sarah, Angie, Shaun and Adrienne!

That's ok....i just feel so special that's all =)

Well, today, we've finally moved into our new Box Hill Office!!! Yeah!!! Good to be able to have a room...where qynnie can't bully you =p *sign* going to miss that a little tho =D Yes, Jan...we did it!!! Finally moved!

Started off the morning with staff meeting, then headed to IKEA to have lunch, and pick up some furniture...it's always cool to decorate rooms, and adding furniture to it....well, at least that's what i enjoy doing. When i had my room in M'sia painted with Buttercup yellow and melon colour, and get to do cool stuff to my room, it felt so cool. Then, i dream of decorating my own house when I'm bigger, with featured walls, and cool kitchen, and cool lounge set!!! Wow!!! i think, although i felt really weak today, i enjoyed being able to do that, and sitting down last couple of days, just thinking about how i sud do up my office. * sign...not much...but it's pretty cool enough!

Well, cut the story short...IKEA was quite hilarious, when An. Peggy (Our treasurer) came, and added much more cooler stuff to my purchase. No complains.

Well, if you're thinking where Qynnie is sitting, he is right opposite mine, with about 20 foot steps apart...too far for him to throw paper balls =p His room is not too big, but he reckon his room will be much neater than mine, and we're just waiting to see who mess up their room first ;p So, he's thinking of putting in his 2ft aquarium, with African fish. How typical...but now I'm thinking of putting a fighting fish in my room too =( Can't decide tho

Well, at least, if you decide to pop into my office, i got a cooler office to show off now =)

For His Kingdom

For His Kingdom...

Our God is always faithful, and His mercy towards us are everlasting. He is good,and provide us with more than what we would deserved.

It's my first Kids' Camp as Kids Pastor, and seriously it's very daunting and stressful, as all eyes are on you (well, at least i felt that way). Nights leading up to camp, was very restless, and very little sleep, as you keep running through the things to do in your head. That was just tip of the icing, there were many countless stressful moments that especially Quentin had to out up with =)"Thanks Sayang for being so understanding and putting up with me" Anyway, i learned that God has His own plans, and so it is in this instance.

Out of the many activities that were planned, we barely did any of them, as the kids spent more time with God, at P+W, with friends,and the leaders. Funny tho, the kids and leaders seemed to think that it is one of the best camp =)

There were many countless prayers and fast that went into praying for souls at this camp, and out of the 30 kids that were there, we saw 8 kids gave their lives to God, and many committed to spread the Gospel far and wide. Let the praise and glory be to God. At praise and worship sessions, we also saw kids with hard hearts, broke down on their knees and crying out to God, proclaiming that they will lay down their lives, for the cause of Christ. It gotta be God, as His presence dwelt within the tent and in the hearts of the kids. Many of the leaders were also overwhelmed as they see what God is doing, and it also caused their growth in Jesus grow stronger and bigger.

At this camp, I was also surrounded by the finest of God's army, dedicated, determined, and humble; And that had enabled the Holy Spirit to breath new power and authority into the tent.
I'm totally in awe of the great people that I'm surrounded with, and am abled to do God's work with.

Reminiscing Moments

Ooo, i can't believed Princess Day is coming up!!It's crazy how fast time passes.

Quent and I were just reminiscing old times, first birthdays, first talks, first phone calls...and we were so blown away at how quick time passes, and now we are about to walk down the aisle!! We've come so far since...

We have just confirmed our photographer, and we've decided to go with Xsite photography. They did Wudok and Em's wedding, and has won couple of awards in the pass couple of years, with franchises around the world too. We were quite blown away with the first impression they gave us. Theatre seating as we watch a dvd of photographs and wedding videos, and we were also served drinks. The experience was fantastic, so were their work of course. Well, we decided to go with them, as their work seems to be really good, and the package they are offering us are pretty stunning. Although, Quent was just sold with their mini album. Nick will be our photographer for the day, and unlike our other grooms man Nick Teh, this Nick, is very laid back, and seemed really cool and easy. =p

Anyway, princess day is coming up. It's a day dedicated only for the girls in Sunday Sch, where we super pamper them with hairdo, makeup, nails, crafts, and a message that speaks of their royal position. It's to come across to the girls as they are valued and special. Last year, they all received a tiara ring each, and this year, they are receiving this cool bracelet with gem stones, that Darling Grace and Jen put together =)They are such a champ. Seriously, thank God for the Ling sisters and Corrine, they took so much workload off me, as I'm in the midst of planning Kids camp, which is just a week away!!!

Well, today, i just finished my 14 day liquid fast, and I'm feeling really good. It was a fast for Kids Camp and Princess Day, as I'm believing for more souls added into the Kingdom. I've to say, the last 3 days were the hardest part of my fast =)

and fill in the details on it. Basically, just the measurements will do. It will not be necessary to fill in the measurement of the dress, as i have already lias that with the designer. If you can get that to me by email, or sms me, in the next week or so, that will be great, and i can write that down, and bring to the tailor. =)

The dress making for the Bridesmaids will start July, and it will be done by September, but you all that are far far away, we will get you to the shop when you arrived to pick up the dresses:)

Sounds so exciting!!! I'm getting so much more excited now!!

I can’t believe my Sayang Blogged!!! I’m so proud of him!!! I second Steph, and thinks Qynn should blog more!

Let me give you a brief overview of certain things here that happens on Tuesdays.

Senior Student Lounge (SSL) is a lunchtime program that we run for VCE students whom are having their 2 crucial exam year in high school. It’s under the Youth Dimension (YD) banner and our Church FGAM banner. On Tuesday, each week, we provide kids with coffee/ Ice coffee. This gives them an opportunity to use the classroom to study, to chill, and people to talk to. Then, a couple of us from our church and other partnering churches, will provide volunteers whom will help to make coffees, and talk to these kids and play card games with them. The most frequently asked question is “Why do you come every week to give us coffee, and hang with us?” Isn’t that amazing?

Anyway, myself and Quent have done this for last whole year, and we developed a great relationships with a group of non-church kids there. It’s so cool. Couple of them heard that we were getting married, and they quickly came and congratulate us on the 1st day we were back to school. They were much more excited than the bride herself! Bringing me Wedding Magazines etc; and we chatted also about their life, boyfriends, family etc…it’s so cool to know that the kids remember you after the whole long summer holidays. Quent and myself have excuse ourselves from SSL, as we’ve now got more volunteers from our church to help out, which is so cool. They even beat GODZIMMER on his first game of Bluff!

Student Focus (SF) is also a lunchtime program, which runs at the same time as SSL, and it’s also a program of YD. SF focuses on lots of games tailored for hyperactive kids in the first two years of high school, Year 7 & 8. Unlike SSL, we are allowed to share the word of God with the kids after a good 20 – 25 mins of games. The kids goes crazy, and then they hang back to listen to the Word of God, probably the only venue for most of them. Quent and myself are now focussing on this program, as it’s new to us, and for me, I know lots of the kids that are in Year 7, as I taught them Christian Religious Education (CRE) in their primary school, during Grade 6. When I first got there 3 weeks ago, one of my previous student came up to me and said, she misses CRE, and Chris and myself; while some other kids just recognize me as I’m in the school teaching, and attending their events, and it’s always good to spot a familiar face; and I think that’s what makes Tuesday a great and fruitful day for Quent and myself!!

Although, I missed SSL, but I think I’m also enjoying SF, especially when we pray and believe for God to bring more kids to the program. Besides, I can always use SF games for CRE classes and Sunday School!

I just thought i'd crash Sonja's blog and write an entry because i can see that Sonja hasn't been very regular with her posts :) The countdown has begun to our big day, and i have to admit i'm pretty excited about the whole day. Things are falling into place. We have set our date for the 15th December, got our chapel, our reception place, photographer, Sonja's dress and dresses for her bridemaids. Wow, it's all starting to come together! It's been amazing the number of people that have offered to help in some way. We are truly blessed with such a great bunch of friends and family.

For Sonja and I, once again life seems to be getting busier and busier. Sonja is actually resting at home now trying to recover from a flu which she probably picked up from me. Poor girl! It's been a really interesting and fun time over the last year for us. I been so blessed to have someone who is so passionate about the same things i am. It's been a long and challenging road to get where we are today, but i wouldn't have had it any other way. Sorry, but i'm just rambling on and on. I really don't know how people blog so regularly. So i'm going to finish it here. Am going to try and put some random pics up. May make this post a little more interesting.

Wedding Dress Formula

I'm not a good blogger, i'm already like 2 weeks late =D Forgive me

Yvette, i reckon, is the best bargain hunter ever!!! She got me connected with designer and dress maker, 2nd Generation Designer, and a faithful citizen of Crezch Republic, Judith from Black Rose. Judith, is going to use me and my 8 Bridesmaids, and also my special flower girl, Rach, as her walking advertisment, therefore, she have given me a good deal, yet giving me the flexibility to work and design the dresses with her.

Okay, bridesmaids, we've got our dresses in tact and organized!! Praise God for good deal, and reasonably good price =) By the way, me and Quent is leaning towards lavender/ Lilac colour with cream as our theme. So beautifuls, you're probably going to walk down the ailse in lilac, purple, unless you have strong objection to it;)

Hehehehe... Deciding photography in the coming week. Everything is going pretty well, praise be our Lord, for His faithfulness and goodness.

On the work side, we're probably moving to our new office in Box Hill in the coming two weeks. Having a office to myself...hmmm...dunno how that would feel, good, but boring. But, i definitely look forward to decorating it, put some pics up, toys etc...i haven't had a room to myself for a while, and renting homes etc...haven't had time to be in touch with my decorating side....really missed doing them.

Well, thats all from me now. Missing my Daddy lots and lots and lots!!!

Just how it had been over at my side=)

I have to say I’m not a very competitive person, and not very sporty at all. Okay, there, there, I’ve just admit that =)

But, my goodness!! Audrey is worse than me!! Ok, poor little sister, she was being trash so badly in the new Wii Sports, that I can’t help but smile about it!! Hehehehe…Well, she did beat me in bowling, but bowling isn’t very anyway =p

I was in Knox doing some shopping and brainstorming for Sunday School, and I walked into EB Games (Electronic Boutique Games) and totally picked up a bargain on their Wii console carry bag. The guy gave me a 50% discount!! Well, according to Chris, we do often buy our stuff from them, so I thought it’s no harm for me to bargain a bit, but I didn’t expect a 50%. Thank you God!

Janice been gone for a week, but it seems like it had been 10 months, and it’s time for her to get back! (Just kidding, I can’t express better how much we miss you over here) It was great to receive your email this morning, I can gloat about it in front of Quent, because he didn’t get one! Really hope you’ll quickly adjust to Singapore in a good way =)

Today, work begun really early, and it’s a long day of work, but Jerusha just made it great, cause my blog now look much much better =)

Look forward to a long day of work at Mt Evelyn, in Ministry to Children training tomorrow.

120 Year Old Chapel

Well, not everything perfect, but we love the chapel!!!

It's really nice, grandiose, sophisticated, sentimental, classic feel about the whole place. Most of all, the Reverent Bob is really nice. Audrey and Vernis reckon that he looks like a mad scientist, i reckon if he does look like a mad scientist, he would look like the doctor in Astroboy.

Anyway, it's in St. Kilda, and it has nice, tall ceillings. Mum and Quent's dad reckons we might be too tiring to travel so far...but we kinda like the place, and it falls so well into our budget!!! Well, it's just for one day, at least i think we can pull it through the day alright. I probably had much more stressful and busy day. Wedding day will be a breeze! =) (Mum, probably thinking...wow, talk so easy huh?) Lol... we'll work something out la.

Oh, Jean Paul and Emma had their first baby this afternoon, at 1:35pm!!! It's a boy. Baby Nathaneal. Both mum and baby is healthy...can't wait to visit them!!!

Finding ourselves a perfect Wedding Planner

You can't believe this, but yes i found myself a Wedding Planner!

This is how it came about. Tim Teh was wondering who will help us to wedding plan at my house, with Nicole around. So, i casually said that " Well, Quent is hoping someone will volunteer themself!" Couple of minutes later, Nicole said, "well, if you want i will do it." Wow...out of no where, she just said it so casually.

There, you go my sister- the Wedding Planner.

Like she said, she has not much experience, but so are we...and it would be great to take the journey together, besides, at least she is now doing all our hard work of calling around and putting things into place.

Anyway, Sorry Nic...i don't have any other of your pic on my comp at the moment...blame it on you for always hiding from the camera! =)

Still haven't Found a chapel yet!!

Aiyor!!! Can you believe this? It's kind of crazy that we still can't find a chapel. This weekend, i have found some time to record a list of churches to call on Monday and Tuesday. Continue our hunt.

Well, as of last Monday, we went and check out Monash Uni chapel. Its pretty good, but there some set up thing that we don't really like. However, it is kinda sweet as Quent goes to school there.

Then on Thursday, we went to see this church near Chris's House, we can mathematically like walk there!! Anyway, didn't really like the place, as it was a little too small!!! Haiyar... Thought it would be good to document both the chapel down.

Wedding Dress Hunting

It's been an exciting week.

Last Monday, 15th Jan, after getting information from Alicia Barkley about Abbey Bridal SALE, I went and check it out with Vernis, Janice, and Serene, before i had to go to Adelaide.

Well, Vernis and Serene, still has their heart set on the first dress i tried on. Even though me and Janice like the 3rd one that i tried on. Which we both like the style and the price of it. All in all, it was a very pretty one. The following picture is not the exact one that i tried on, but they are some of Abbey's collection.

It was really hard, as most of them, i will need to get it tailored, for the hem area and bust area too!!! So frustrating! That cost more $$$, and just makes a poor Asian girl feels lost without good assets! ;)

Anyway, we tried on a total of 3 dresses that day, and felt really good about it.

Today, 22nd Jan, following Yvette's expert observation for good buys, we went to the famous Mariana Hardwick determined that we will get a dress today. To our dismay, we may be 3 days late from the sale, as most sizes are gone, so are the good buys. Well, we resolve to walking the bridal street, popping our heads into boutiques and some wedding shops. I tried on this lovely gown style wedding dress, and absolutely fell in love with it! What can i say? It makes a girl feels like a princess!!! Well, it's a bit $$$, but we'll see how we go. It's only the 4th dress i tried on right? ;)

In total, we've tried on 8 dresses of different styles, since we started our wedding dress hunt! Did new things, and met some interesting people! For example, we met this sales lady who described her boobs as "enough for the whole of China!"; while another sales lady for a French Designer Moche, who Vernis and Serene described as Izma, from "Emperor's New Grove", without Purple eye shadow!

The Story of my Engagement

It's my birthday!! 6th January 2006. My first time spending birthday with Sayang.

Please forgive me for sounding dumb in the following story, but i was kept in the dark, and i was very trusting and relies on my boyfriend.

Quent woke me up at 4:30 am, gave me 30mins before he A.I.S. (Ass In Seat) me, still feeling half dead from such early wake up call, we took on our journey, listening to songs and chatting away. At this very moment, i seriously think we were going to the beach, as i was told. So, i asked, "Dear, are we going to watch sunrise?" His answer was nope. Then is asked, "Does anyone know what we are doing today?" His answer was "No questions for you." He sounded so demanding!! Never got that from him before =) So, i happily chatting away and singing away with the songs, while squeezing in some yawns.

Then, here came the junction to the airport, and i said to Quent, "Gees dear, the beach must be quite far away, we are even passing the airport!"Quent calmly said, "yeah." Then, he turn on his left signal into the airport! Ok, now i'm excited, we are getting out of Melbourne, but still i didn't know where we were going until we checked in.

So, Sydney here we come. We both took our nap and arrived in Sydney at about 9am. Quent bought ferry tickets, and then we went and romp around the Opera House and the shops, and shared an ice-cream. We saw this exciting Jet Boats... they were cool as!! But, dude, i have motion sickness and i can't really heck roller coaster, so even thought those jet boats looks cool by Darling Harbour, i don't think i will ever get on it.

At 11am, we took our ferry heading to Rose Bay, Sayang busily occupied my mouth with words, so that i won't concentrate too hard on the motion of the ferry. When we arrived at Rose Bay, it was just a big huge park by the bay. So, we walked around, and discussed what we wanted for lunch, and Quent even asked if i like to catch a bus to the famous Bondi Beach. Well, whatever my answer would be, he already had something planned, so we were late to catch our bus to Bondi!!! We came by a Sea Plane service shed, and Quent walked in and checked us in! Goodness me! I'm going on a sea plane!

Sayang never took a plane ride with me before, but to his horror after paying such an expensive treat for me, then he found out that i'm afraid of flights. Well, so we were on our way to a secluded Portuguese Beach. Came along with us on the sea plane ride were 3 more people.

When we arrived at Portuguese Beach, only did we found out that, it was not as secluded as we thought it would be. On that very beautiful day, many more people had the same idea as us, and they took their yatch and boats onto the beach; playing beach cricket, sun tanning, fishing etc. We then found our spot, and set up our picnic rug, umbrella and food that was provided by the seaplane and started our lunch.

Okay, i still didn't know or expected anything at this moment! I know i am blur...!

We did our thing, and enjoyed ourselves, then Quent started doing some talking...until Grace called! Of course, i wasn't rude to pick up the phone, but i told Quent "Wait ar, let me reply Grace with a message first!" Gees, that just caused my boyfriend's eyes rolled back a billion times. After i am done, he refuses to talk anymore, so i thought i get some tan while i catch a shut eye. The story goes on...

I woke up, and he asked me to take a walk with him around the bend of the beach. We talk about life, and how long we've been together. Then, he started this serious talk about our future which i constantly interrupted innocently; Sayang, was never this demanding before, but he practically said to me "Shut up, please" then he continues with his much nervous speech, and kneels in front of me, and proposed!!!

Yup...the rest is history!!!

I'll be Mrs Quentin Loke this coming December!!!
